Line Painting in Nanaimo & Vancouver Island

Based in Nanaimo, VI Road Marking provides line painting for parking lots, roads, intersections and industrial sites across Vancouver Island. We handle new layouts, restriping and line removal, with markings installed to the approved layout and applicable project specifications.

Road line painting and intersection markings

Longitudinal markings (centre, lane and edge lines) and transverse markings (stop bars, crosswalks, arrows and symbols) on municipal roads, highways, subdivisions and private roads.

Roadway markings get reflective glass beads for night visibility, and we bring our own certified traffic control.

  • Centre lines and double solid lines
  • Edge lines and lane lines
  • Stop bars and crosswalks
  • Turn arrows, merge arrows and symbols
  • Bike lane lines and symbols
  • Hatching, gore areas and painted medians
  • School and playground zones
  • Retroreflective glass beads
  • New road and subdivision markings
  • Restriping after paving and overlays

Parking lot line painting and striping

Parking lot line painting in Nanaimo and across Vancouver Island, including new layouts and restriping for commercial plazas, stratas, industrial yards, schools and civic sites.

Faded lines cause confusion, cost you usable stalls and create conflicts between vehicles and pedestrians. Most lots are done in sections so the site stays open, with evening and weekend scheduling available.

For Ricky’s All Day Grill in Nanaimo, we completed a commercial parking lot repaint overnight and followed up with the owner the next day. Read about the Ricky’s project →

Ferry deck and industrial line painting

Clear lane layouts for vehicle decks, terminals and industrial sites.

Our work includes solid and dashed vehicle lane lines, yellow hatching and designated loading areas. For the Transporter ferry deck in Nanaimo, we scheduled the line painting between the vessel’s sailing times, with markings across the open and covered sections of the vehicle deck.

Layout & new markings

Set out a clear plan before the first line goes down.

We set out parking stalls, traffic lanes, arrows and symbols from your drawings or an approved plan, then confirm placement before applying the markings. Layout is part of preparing new lots, freshly paved surfaces and revised marking plans.

  • Layout from drawings or an approved plan
  • New parking stalls, lanes and loading areas
  • Placement of arrows, symbols and stencils
  • Layout confirmation before painting

Industrial, airport and recreation markings

  • Emergency access routes
  • Airport markings
  • Sports courts and school yards

Pavement marking removal

When a lot or roadway changes, old markings have to come off or they confuse drivers.

We remove unwanted pavement markings where existing lines no longer match how a site or roadway needs to operate. Removal can be quoted as its own scope for changed traffic patterns, construction staging or site reconfiguration.

  • Removal of unwanted or obsolete markings
  • Preparation for changed traffic patterns
  • Traffic shifts and construction staging
  • Removal for parking lot and roadway reconfiguration
